The Banality of Evil: Hannah Arendt — Again

The project stems from the theoretical works of Hannah Arendt, focusing on the ontology of violence and genocide and questioning the concept of the banality of evil. Art, according to Arendt, addresses the topic of violence better than critical theory, as it captures the political in all its incomprehensibility. The staging is conceived at the intersection of theoretical and performative practice.

Arendt's theoretical tools are used to analyse the current genocide in Palestine — reflecting ineffective international law, the normalisation of war crimes and the censorship of public opinion.
